Writing Your Script and Building Scenes
How to write naturally, use Becky, and set timing right

Part A — Writing the Script
Option 1 — Write It Yourself
Go to the Script tab. Type in the big text box. Keep it conversational — write the way you talk, not the way you type a formal letter. Read it out loud while you write. If it sounds awkward when you say it, rewrite it.
Option 2 — Ask Becky to Write It ⭐ Recommended
Type one sentence describing your video in the Becky brief field. Be specific. The more detail you give her, the better the script will be. Then tap Becky — Write My Script.
Good brief examples:
✅ "2-minute video about how AI tools help beginners make money online with affiliate marketing"
✅ "1-minute promo for Smith Roofing in Orange Texas, storm damage repair, free estimates, local family business"
❌ "make me a video" — Too vague. Becky needs details to write well.
💡 Word Count and Timing
Speaking pace is about 150 words per minute. Use this to plan your script length:
1 minute video~150 words
2 minute video~300 words
3 minute video~450 words
5 minute video~750 words
The word count display updates live as you type so you can track your progress.
Part B — Building Scenes
Scenes are the individual parts of your video. Each scene has a name and a duration in seconds. They add up to your total video length. The progress bar turns green when you hit your target.
How Scenes Work
When you pick a template the scenes auto-load. Each one has a default time. You can rename them, adjust the seconds, add content notes, or delete and add new ones. FreeStack Video uses the scene list to know how long each section of your video runs.
Scene Timing Tips
Keep your hook scene short — 30 to 45 seconds. Middle scenes 60 to 90 seconds. CTA at the end 30 to 45 seconds. For a 1-minute test video use 3 scenes at 20 seconds each.
⚠️ Common Mistake to Avoid
Do not leave scenes at 0 seconds. Every scene must have a duration or the render will fail. If you are not sure, set each scene to 60 seconds and adjust from there.

LESSON 4 · RENDERING
How to Render and Get Your Video URL
Step-by-step through the render tab, status tracker, and result

Rendering is the step where your script and scenes get turned into an actual video file. FreeStack Video does this for you — it takes 1 to 3 minutes. Here is exactly what to do.

Check the Pre-Render Summary
When you tap the Render tab, you will see a summary card showing your project name, client, template, scene count, and total duration. There is a green or red status bar at the bottom. If it is red, go back and fix the issue before tapping render.
2️⃣
Make Sure FreeStack Video Key Is Saved
FreeStack Video needs no API key. It is your own server running on Render.com. Make sure your FreeStack Video URL is saved in Settings and the server is deployed.

Tap 🎬 Start Render
The button turns to "⏳ Rendering..." and three status steps appear: Building Timeline → Rendering Video → Video Ready. Each one updates live as FreeStack Video processes your project. Do not close the app or navigate away while rendering.
4️⃣
Render Status Explained
The status checker polls FreeStack Video every 10 seconds up to 30 times (5 minutes max). You will see the render ID, current status, and check count update in real time. Most renders finish in 1 to 3 minutes. No watermark on your videos.

= That step completed successfully
❌ Failed
= Something went wrong — check the error message

Get Your Video URL
When the render completes, a green result box appears with your video URL. Tap 📋 Copy URL to copy it to clipboard. Tap ⬇ Open Video to preview it in a new tab. No watermark — FreeStack Video is your own server. Download and share directly.
🔧 Troubleshooting — If the Render Fails
Error: Server offline → FreeStack Video may be cold-starting. Wait 30 sec and retry.
Error: Duration too short → Go back to Scenes and add more time to your scenes
Error: No scenes → You skipped the Scenes tab — go back and confirm scenes loaded
Render timed out → Wait 1 minute, tap Retry — FreeStack Video is processing on free-tier CPU
Render failed: unknown → Your free sandbox may have hit the 20-minute/month limit

After a Successful Render — 4 Actions

Copy the URL
Tap Copy URL in the render result box. The link goes to your clipboard. You can paste it into WhatsApp, email, or any app to share or preview it.

Save to Project History
Go to the Save tab and tap Save Project to History. This stores the project name, video URL, date, and scene count on your device. You can come back and find it anytime.

Duplicate for Next Video
Tap Duplicate to copy the current project with "(Copy)" added to the name. Edit the title and script, then render again. This is the fastest way to produce multiple videos from one template.

Re-Render After Changes
Go back to any earlier tab, make your changes, then tap Render again. The system will produce a new URL. Previous URL still works. Save both if you need to compare.
Using the Avatar Creator Inside Video Studio
Tap the 🎭 Avatar Creator badge in the Video Studio header. A modal opens. Go through the 5 tabs: Avatar → Script → Settings → Generate → Result. When your avatar video is ready, tap Send to Video Studio and it will pre-fill the render result for you.

The Road to Auto-Publish
The Auto-Publish connection from Video Studio is currently inactive — shown as a grayed-out button at the bottom of the Save tab. When it is activated, you will be able to send any Video Studio project directly into the Auto-Publish Pipeline which will post it to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook automatically.
Current path: Render URL → copy → paste into Auto-Publish manually Future path: One button sends it automatically
